TheraTreats is a reputable brand for those who are adverse to THC, whether they get drug tested, or are against the psychoactive properties of cannabis. The brand is extremely transparent, and links to lab tests for just about every product on their site. However, because this product is made with industrialized hemp, it is less effective, and the company can’t make any actual claims about its effectiveness. I also personally didn’t enjoy the fact that they refer to cannabis as “marijuana” on their site when talking about THC, like they had to demonize the psychoactive nature of cannabis to “connect with their customers,” hop on a trend, or attempt to differentiate themselves.
One can appreciate the unique flavors like Cacao Nibs & Cream, Peach Hazelnut, and Pomegranate & Vanilla Bean, but I wouldn’t say the product is anything to go out of your way for since there are likely multiple options in this category in any and every state that allows the use of CBD. The chocolate bars are decently affordable and the serving sizes are not stingy which was a pleasant surprise, but this product might only be worth it to a certain type of user, one that is just beginning to be open minded about cannabis or has had negative views of it in the past.
I personally was not wowed by the effects of TheraTreats chocolate bars, but I know they have a large audience likely composed of people who don’t consume cannabis in its full form. This is the type of product you need to take regularly to notice the difference, and not for someone looking for a quick fix. I don’t think any of their dosages are high enough anyways to use their products for actual aches and pains. The flavor of their bars are pretty good, but if that’s all you’re looking for, you might as well buy a normal chocolate bar.
The 120mg THC-Free Cacao Nibs & Cream Chocolate Bar was definitely the tastiest of the bunch! Since this product is not made with full spectrum hemp extract, it’s great for those that might need to submit to a drug test.
Raspberries & Cinnamon Artisan Dark Chocolate (60mg)
TheraTreats Raspberries & Cinnamon Dark Chocolate Bar has 60mg total, with 15mg CBD per square. The company says their flavor combinations are intentionally paired to showcase certain benefits of fruits to enhance the overall effect of CBD, but I don’t think it’s nearly enough to have an actual effect.
Since this bar features a lower dosage, it’s one of the more affordable options, at just $2.50 per dose. TheraTreats uses industrial hemp for their products, so it’s really up to the user whether the lack of THC is important enough to migrate towards this type of product.
The Raspberries & Cinnamon bar features one of the lower doses in TheraTreats’ lineup. While I enjoyed the flavor, it’s hard to tell whether this product has any real benefit. It’s intended to provide calm and relaxation, but wasn’t exactly effective in my opinion. This product is better suited to someone who is just trying to dip their toe into cannabis.
THC-Free Cacao Nibs & Cream Artisan White Chocolate (120mg)
TheraTreats Cacao Nibs and Cream bar is a delicious way to incorporate CBD into your diet during any part of the day. With 120mg per bar and 30mg per serving, there is zero THC, likely due to the use of CBD Isolate, although the brand is a bit vague about the extract type.
While not a revolutionary product, TheraTreats does aim to set themselves apart with their interesting flavors, and this bar is an example of that. This option is a bit on the pricier side since it’s THC-free, but may provide comfort for those who get drug tested and cannot have any THC in their system.
The flavor of this Cacao Nibs and Cream bar was spot on! The white chocolate was nice and creamy, and the cacao nibs provided great crunch. This bar is THC-free, so it’s even harder to isolate its effects. This is the type of product you might need to use over a period of time to figure out whether it’s beneficial for you. I maybe felt a bit calmer after trying the chocolate, but it wasn’t noticeable by any means.
TheraTreats’ 120mg bar has 30mg CBD per serving, which might be extra strength for someone that isn’t looking for this chocolate to cure any real pain or maladies. They can be eaten any time of day, but especially at night if you’re looking for a positive impact on your sleep.
All ingredients featured in this bar are organic, if that’s something you care about. Beyond that, the flavor is good, and each square of chocolate is a decent size, but I wouldn’t say that this product is unique in any way. Best suited for beginners or those afraid of the full power of cannabis.
TheraTreats Extra Strength Dark Chocolate Bar is intended to be one of the most powerful bars they offer, however, “powerful” is a relative term. As someone who consumes cannabis regularly, I wasn’t wowed by the product offerings or their effects. This product might be best for someone who is adverse to THC in any capacity, as they might experience more positive benefits. I will say that the flavor was on point, and that TheraTreats makes a beautiful chocolate bar.
