Hot Cannabutter Rum Cider

For a hot drink to enjoy on cold days or days where you are wishing it’s winter, this recipe from Kitchen Toke is the best. (Do keep in mind, this recipe does require already-made cannabutter.)

Servings: 24 oz.

Prep Time: 15 min

Ingredients:

  • 24 oz. of apple or pear cider
  • 4 tsp. of softened cannabutter
  • ¼ cup of heavy whipping cream
  • ½ tsp. powdered sugar
  • 8 oz. of dark rum
  • ¼ tsp. cloves
  • 4 cinnamon sticks

Steps:

  1. Start by bringing your rum and cloves to a slow rolling boil in a small saucepan. Keep this boiling for about 10 minutes.
  2. As you’re waiting for this to finish, whisk together your cannabutter, heavy cream, and powdered sugar in a bowl, and set aside.
  3. Now, strain your rum-clove mixture into a clean, empty pot and add the cider. Heat this for just a few minutes on high.
  4. Then, pour this new mixture into your mugs of choice, topping every drink with two teaspoons of the cannabutter cream you made earlier.
  5. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and start sipping!

Cannabis-Infused Red Wine Sangria

Whether you’re cozied up by the fire or chillin’ by the pool, this cannabis-infused red wine sangria is the perfect cannabis drink to sip on all year long. Here’s how to make it.

Servings: 32 oz.

Prep Time: 15 min

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium orange, sliced and diced rind on
  • 1 medium lemon, sliced and diced rind on
  • 1 bottle of Spanish red wine
  • ¼ cup of your favorite cannabis tincture
  • 1 ½ cups of frozen berry mix
  • 1 3-inch piece of cinnamon

Steps

  1. Start by grabbing a half-gallon-sized jar. Take the orange and lemon and muddle them using a wooden spoon.
  2. Then, add your bottle of wine, cinnamon stick, frozen berries, and as many drops of the cannabis tincture as you want (though we’d recommend starting low and slow, as two drops should do just fine).
  3. After this, screw on an airtight lid on your jar and place your mix in the fridge for the next 12 hours at least.
  4. Once you can’t stand not drinking this sangria any longer, take it out of the fridge, strain, and pour it into your favorite glass over ice. If you want, feel free to garnish with more frozen fruit and enjoy.

Strawberry Cannabis Lemonade

This next recipe is a combination of a cannabis lemonade from Have a Heart and a traditional strawberry lemonade from Framed Cooks. Sound good? Here’s how to craft some.

Servings: 32 oz.

Prep Time: 10 min

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup of sugar
  • 5 cups of water
  • 2 lemons
  • 1 pint of fresh, hulled strawberries
  • 1 cup of lemon juice
  • Cannabis tincture of choice
  • Ice cubes

Steps:

  1. Combine the sugar, one cup of water, and lemon zest into a small saucepan and bring it to a simmer.
  2. Then, cook for 10 minutes and let it cool. While it’s cooling, puree your strawberries until smooth and easily mixed. Strain your puree through a mesh strainer, ensuring all solid chunks are filtered out.
  3. Now, strain your cooled lemon sugar syrup through the mesh strainer, and then combine it with the strawberry puree.
  4. Pour this mixture in with the lemon juice, add two or three drops of your cannabis tincture, and the remaining water into a large pitcher and stir well. Add some ice and you’re ready to serve!

Pomegranate and Ginger Medicated Punch

For a deliciously refreshing and vibrant cannabis-infused drink, check out this Pomegranate and Ginger Medicated Punch from Growing Marijuana Blog. It’s absolutely perfect for every season and holiday.

Servings: 32 oz.

Prep Time: 10 min

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz. of orange vodka
  • Your favorite cannabis tincture
  • 8 oz. of Canton ginger liqueur or a ginger-coffee flavoring syrup
  • 8 oz. of unsweetened pomegranate juice
  • 750 ml. of chilled sparkling wine
  • Orange slices
  • Pomegranate seeds

Steps:

  1. To make, start by combining your vodka, as many drops of cannabis tincture as you’d like, ginger liqueur, and pomegranate juice into a large pitcher.
  2. With a spoon, mix well, and place into the fridge to chill.
  3. Once it’s cold, pour your mixture over ice, leaving enough room to top it off with sparkling wine. Stir very gently, as the wine is carbonated.
  4. Garnish with your orange slices and pomegranate seeds. Now, sit back, relax, and let the cannabis drink work its magic.

Sipping on Cannabis

No matter what holiday or season, there’s never a bad time to sip on some cannabis (as long as you’re being responsible, of course). If you want, you can easily replace a cannabis tincture (one that also includes THC) in these recipes with a CBD tincture in case you want the benefits without the psychoactivity. We recommend a CBD tincture of 250mg for beginners, 750mg for intermediates, and 1000-1500mg for experienced users.

Regardless, these infused drinks make for incredible beverages for all the adults in your life looking to have a little extra fun. Try your hand at some of these deliciously potent cannabis drinks.
