Neurogan has a medical aesthetic that lends itself well to the effectiveness of their full-spectrum products. Between the minimalist white-and-grey packaging and straightforward applications, these products seem made for real adults with adult issues—a bucket I find myself squarely in.
I had the opportunity to try Neurogan’s CBD Gummy Squares, CBD Softgels, CBD Cooling Rub, and CBD Oil. Without a doubt, the draw with these products is the full-spectrum cannabinoid content. With 2,700mg CBD in the bottle of gummies, 2,000mg in the cooling rub, 2,400mg in the softgels, and 4,000mg in the tincture, I thought I was reading the numbers wrong.
All of these products are under $100, which made me slightly skeptical they would be as potent as they claimed to be. But for the most part, they live up to their mind-boggling potencies.

Editor’s Pick
- I’m not normally a capsule person, but Neurogan’s CBD Softgels did the trick. At 40mg per capsule, they offer just the right amount of CBD to balance out overly caffeinated mornings and too-intense cannabis highs. They also contain hemp seed oil, so you don’t need to worry about salmon oil burps interrupting your CBD-induced zen.
Neurogan CBD Gummy Squares
At 90mg of CBD per tiny gummy, I was hoping these would be the real deal. In terms of effectiveness, they absolutely were, offering a serious dose of relaxation within an hour of me eating one. The flavor, however, was less watermelon and more of a chlorophyll punch to the face. It was distinctly planty with a chemical aftertaste, which makes sense given the potency, but it was also a bit much even for someone like myself who appreciates every part of the hemp plant.
The texture was overly chewy, which further suggests Neurogan did not spend a ton of time taste-testing these gummies. I would be mad about the lingering aftertaste if the effects didn’t kick in and quell my annoyance. Luckily, the pain of eating these was worth the reward of feeling absolutely calm and carefree roughly an hour after consumption.
Highlights
If effectiveness is what you’re going for and flavor doesn’t factor into your gummy decision-making at all, these should be right up your alley. At $70 per bottle, they’re twice as expensive as Not Pot’s truly delicious strawberry gummies but infinitely more effective. Do I wish Neurogan and Not Pot could combine their best traits to make a tasty gummy that’s also powerful? Yes. But if I had to choose, I’d put my money on the CBD gummies that actually do something, and in that regard, Neurogan is the clear winner.

Neurogan CBD Oil
Neurogan’s CBD oil lives up to the highly potent, effective expectations of the brand. I tried the citrus flavor, which was a little too intense on the essential oil spectrum for my liking, but I imagine that anyone turned off by herbal flavors will love this oil. The finish is light and smooth and the full-spectrum CBD kicks in quickly if you administer the oil sublingually.
Within 30 minutes of consuming it this way, I felt calm and collected despite having a bunch of logistical nightmares on my plate that day. It was just the thing I needed to bring me back to earth.
I also appreciate that the dosing instructions on the bottle are clear and thorough. Sometimes it can be hard to know exactly what you’re getting per dropperful, but with clearly marked mL dashes on the dropper and clear directions, dosing Neurogan’s CBD oil is a breeze.
Highlights
$139.95 for a 2 oz bottle of CBD oil may sound steep until you realize you’re getting at least double the dose of most high-potency tinctures for roughly the same price. Price and potency-wise, it’s a home run and a tincture I’d happily recommend to my harried, overtasked friends and colleagues. I’d be interested to try their natural hemp flavor since I’m not a huge fan of citrus tinctures, but fans of citrus will likely love this tincture.

Neurogan CBD Cooling Rub
At this point in my long-term relationship with CBD, I’ve tried just about all of the CBD topicals out there. Some provide amazing instant relief, soothing sore muscles and kinks, while others do the more subtle work of healing sunburns and soothing chapped skin.
Neurogan’s CBD cooling rub definitely fits in the latter category. While it didn’t provide the immediate relief I’ve come to expect from balms like Papa & Barkley’s, it did stop a developing sunburn in its tracks and leave my skin feeling silky soft. Even though the packaging doesn’t scream luxury, the light yet hydrating texture and fresh peppermint scent do.
My only complaint is that it comes in a 2 oz jar and not a giant tub, otherwise, I would gladly spread the rub all over my body.
Highlights
Neurogan’s CBD cooling rub is a solid topical product. It’s clear they did a thorough job testing different textures, potencies, and scents because this one checks all the boxes. I don’t know if its creamy texture affects its ability to provide the targeted, immediate relief a CBD balm might, but it’s perfectly textured to work as a soothing, full-body lotion. At $60 per jar, full-body applications might be an expensive treat but a worthwhile one if you hung out at the beach all day.

Neurogan CBD Softgels
Like I said, I’m not a huge fan of capsules, but I might be a convert after trying these. Because they’re soft and small, these capsules are easy to swallow, and unlike some vitamins where the dose is a small handful of pills, these little capsules have a whopping 40mg of CBD each.
One was plenty for me to round out the rough edges of a workday afternoon, but I could see two capsules being the perfect nightcap to send me off to sleep. I also appreciate that the base oil in these capsules is hemp seed oil. Hemp seed oil, if you didn’t already know, is great for keeping your hair and skin healthy because of the high concentration of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids. Unlike salmon oil, hemp seed oil won’t resurface as a fishy burp long after you’ve forgotten you took a capsule.
For all of these reasons, Neurogan’s CBD softgels are an all-around crowd-pleasing product I would quickly recommend to anyone suffering from mid-afternoon crankiness and the stresses of twenty-first-century life.
Highlights
Neurogan’s CBD softgels are the perfect entry-level CBD product for beginners looking to tinker with the cannabinoid without fear of tasting something they don’t like. It might be hard to get excited about a capsule like you might with a luxurious balm or delicious CBD gummy, but there is something exciting about reliable effectiveness. These capsules are worth trying if you’re sick of choking down mediocre CBD gummies or tasty CBD treats that prove to be totally useless as the hours tick by without the slightest shift in perception. These capsules may not offer glamor, but they do offer good old reliable results.
