Mender CBD topicals review

Mender is a body and skincare brand that’s focused on creating the best, most organic products for your skin. With some CBD products and some non-CBD, their brand has a nice mixture of skincare and body products for all types of consumers. Mender’s CBD products contain varying amounts of CBD, with a few being super potent for more experienced users and others much more gentle.

All in all, this brand is on their way to being amazing. However, Mender falls just a little short in comparison to other more established CBD companies.

Mender’s products work well, but, as topicals, they just don’t last long regarding efficacy. Without any special nano-emulsion techniques or increased bioavailability, these products act mainly as everyday skincare, not necessarily a beneficial CBD line.

I enjoyed their effects at the end of the day, but still found myself wishing they were a bit more helpful in terms of pain relief. After all, that’s what most of us are searching for from our CBD topicals, right?

Highlights
At the end of the day, these products worked well, but they weren’t super potent. Effects seemed to be more holistic than anything, with CBD sort of being an afterthought. However, I loved the scents and feelings of these products: it’s clear Mender knows what they’re doing in terms of skincare. I felt minor muscle relaxation and pain relief, but it was more calming than anything. While my skin was happy, that was about the extent.

Editor’s Pick

  • As someone who has suffered from chronic headaches almost my whole life, I was excited to try Mender’s CBD Headache Roller. This special topical contains a gentle 25mg that is wonderful for newer CBD consumers. The topical applied flawlessly and I could continue to apply it throughout the day for mild relief. Of course, it didn’t take away my headaches completely, but it sure made them more manageable.

Mender CBD + Shea Deodorant

Mender CBD deodorant

One of Mender’s more unique CBD products is their CBD deodorant. This deodorant contains a gentle 10mg of CBD and is designed to be applied just like your everyday deodorant. Right off the bat, I was drawn to this product because of its 100% natural ingredients and my sensitive underarms.

The deodorant smells nice and floral, applying easily and smoothly. My underarms weren’t irritated in the slightest, and I smelt great throughout the day. While I didn’t notice any specific benefits from the CBD, it’s a nice, creamy deodorant overall.

Product Summary

Mender’s deodorant smells and applies beautifully, functioning just like your typical deodorant. With its all-natural ingredients, this body care product is great for those with sensitive skin especially to chemicals. I didn’t notice any CBD benefits specifically, but I was happy with how it combatted perspiration and smell. However, for almost $20, I’m not sure it’s better than my regular deodorant from Target.

Mender CBD + Cypress Body Oil

As Mender’s strongest CBD product, I was immediately a fan of their CBD Body Oil. Available in full-spectrum doses of 200mg or 400mg, this oil was perfect for my experienced self. Mender utilizes other cannabinoids like CBDV and CBG to provide fuller, more potent effects, especially in terms of pain relief and relaxation.

The body oil smells bright and refreshing, leaving only a slightly oily residue on the skin. Each pump contains 25mg of CBD, with effects kicking in at around 15 minutes, bringing my body the kind of deep relaxation you get in a massage parlor.

Product Summary

Packaged beautifully with recyclable, reusable materials, Mender’s CBD Body Oil is both potent and luxurious. Using only all-natural ingredients and high concentrations of CBD, this full-spectrum oil is ideal for those in need of some serious relief and relaxation. After rubbing some into my sore muscles, I felt relief within minutes. My muscles were much less tight and the aromas calmed my mind. The texture was silky smooth and feels amazing to lather all over after a hot bath or shower — not to mention its scent, which smells all natural and non-synthetic.

Mender CBD + Bakuchiol Repair Serum

Mender CBD repair serum

Mender’s Bakuchiol Repair Serum is all about–you guessed it–repair. Mender combined CBD with bakuchiol and other beneficial natural ingredients to create the ultimate restorative topical. Great within your everyday skincare routine, this Repair Serum is meant to help combat fine line, wrinkles, redness, and dry skin.

After a few applications, I found that this serum definitely did help with my chronic dry skin, but it wasn’t quite worth the $56 price point as I didn’t experience any other benefits. At only 100mg of CBD, I think this topical needs a bit more CBD for full soothing effects.

Product Summary

Ideal within your regular skincare routine, Mender’s Bakuchiol Repair Serum is great for giving your skin an extra dose of hydration and support. While the serum claims to combat fine line and aging skin, the only obvious benefit I found was hydration. It smells beautiful and looks high-quality, but this 100mg serum is just too expensive not to work perfectly.

Mender CBD + Copaiba Headache Roller

Mender CBD headache roller

As someone with chronic headaches and prior neurosurgery, headache rollers are one of those CBD products I’m always drawn toward. Mender’s Headache Roller contains 25mg of CBD which is way too low to help with my headaches directly.

However, I found that I did enjoy the way the roller smelt, and the essential oils aided in a bit of relaxation. If this Headache Roller had thrice the amount of CBD that it does, it might be a bit more beneficial. How it is, though, just feels like a stick of essential oils.

Product Summary

Packaged well in both minimal and recyclable packaging, Mender’s Headache Roller was a bit disappointing. With only 25mg of CBD, the effects just weren’t strong enough to produce any relief. Luckily, the other natural ingredients did help me feel relaxed when deeply inhaled, but I needed the pain relief more than anything for a recent major headache and still, I’m not certain that was received.
