Mad Tasty Review

Created in sunny Los Angeles, CA by Grammy-winner Ryan Tedder, Mad Tasty CBD beverages are yet another cannabidiol-infused drink line. But, what makes them better than all the rest? Other than its water-soluble formula, we’re still trying to figure that out.

From all angles, Mad Tasty products are perfectly adequate. The flavors themselves are just fine, with two being much more palatable than the third. Each can contains 20mg of broad-spectrum CBD, which is a nice dosage for those experienced with cannabidiol and its effects.

Speaking of effects, I did notice mild results, like muscle relaxation and a calm mind. Unfortunately, I also noticed some serious dry mouth after drinking the whole can. Overall, there just wasn’t anything super impressive about Mad Tasty’s sparkling CBD waters — they’re just fine!

Mad Tasty Unicorn Tears

Mad Tasty’s Unicorn Tears CBD sparkling beverage is advertised as an “exotic and mysterious blend of natural fruit flavors,” but I couldn’t decipher anything other than hemp. There may have been slight notes of strawberries or other red fruits, but I was pretty bummed by the lack of tasty flavor from the Mad Tasty drinks.

At 20mg, my experienced self picked up on gentle, supportive benefits, but they weren’t anything to write home about.

Highlights

The Unicorn Tears Mad Tasty beverage comes with cute packaging that’s quite eye-catching. It definitely got me excited at first! But, then I actually sipped on the beverage and was super disappointed by the nondescript “mystery” flavors. More than anything, the drink just tasted like bubbly hemp. I downed the whole thing and felt slight pain relief within about 30 minutes, which I did enjoy. However, my mouth was still left super dry and unsatisfied.

Mad Tasty Watermelon Kiwi

The Watermelon Kiwi Mad Tasty CBD sparkling beverage reminded me of your typical flavored seltzer — but with 20mg of CBD, of course. The flavors themselves were there but subtle, really only giving a slight note at the back of the throat. But, it was still somewhat pleasant.

After about 20 minutes, I noticed a mild boost in my mood, with uplifting effects coming forward more than anything. I figure the Watermelon Kiwi would be great to enjoy beside the pool or with friends, but it shouldn’t be a product you rely on for any sort of pain relief or support.

Highlights

The Watermelon Kiwi CBD beverage tasted better than their Unicorn Tears, but still not quite “mad tasty,” as I’d expect. At 20mg, I picked up noticeable boosts in my mood and felt a bit happier than I did prior to drinking. However, the drink didn’t seem to ease any aches and pains as the other one did. Unfortunately, this one, too, left me with crazy cottonmouth.

Mad Tasty Grapefruit

Out of all of Mad Tasty’s beverages, the Grapefruit is easily the tastiest. This 20mg CBD drink actually tastes like grapefruit (and a little bit of hemp) and is pretty refreshing. On a hot day, this can was perfect.

Within about 30 minutes, I could feel my muscles unclench a bit, and I was in a better mood than before drinking it. While still not as potent or delicious as other CBD beverages on the market, I would consume this bubbly beverage again.

Finally, a tasty Mad Tasty beverage! The Grapefruit flavor boasts yummy citrus notes that are pleasant in the mouth. The effects kicked in quickly due to the water-soluble formula, and I was left feeling relaxed yet uplifted. I don’t know what’s so different about this minimally packaged beverage than the others, but it’s clear the brand got this flavor right.
