If you’re sensitive to THC or can’t have it, shopping for CBD gummies is a minefield. Even gummies with less than 0.3% THC can still pack a punch if they’re big enough. CBD isolate gummies – with only CBD and no other cannabinoids – solve this problem and allow you to focus on the ingredient you want.
But with limited options, finding a safe CBD isolate gummy that works isn’t as easy as you might think. We’ve scoured the internet for CBD isolate gummies we can, and ranked the best ones based on our expert-backed framework. These three came out on top.
What Makes a Good CBD Isolate Gummy?
High CBD Dose
Isolates can work well, but it tends to require bigger doses than broad or full spectrum products. The other cannabinoids add to the effect, but if you take more CBD, you can achieve the same effect when it comes to something like anxiety or inflammation.
Over 99% CBD
99% of the cannabinoid content should be CBD. The most common trace cannabinoid is CBDV, but we discounted any with traces of any THC.
Well-Designed Formula
While we often recommend sticking to one active ingredient at a time, gummies that incorporate other beneficial ingredients in a sensible way can be great. For example, if the gummy is focused on sleep, a small amount (less than 3 mg) melatonin can be good, or turmeric can boost anti-inflammatory effects.
We evaluated CBD isolate gummies from 37 different brands using our expert-backed Cannabinoid Product Quality Evaluation Framework. Out of all the gummies, these three were the best.

Other CBD Isolate Gummies We Considered
From 37 brands, only three scored high enough to earn a spot on this list. The competition was tough, though, and many of the gummies not featured on the list could have earned our recommendation based on their scores.
However, most gummies were discounted based on one or more basic checks:
- 15 gummies had an old lab report: A lab report from over a year ago means one of two things. Either there has been another batch of gummies made with no test available, or there hasn’t and the gummies have been stored for a year. In the 2nd case, it’s unlikely the gummies will have retained their potency.
- 10 gummies were not full panel safety tested: Full panel testing includes heavy metals, pesticides, residual solvents, microbial contamination and mycotoxins. These tests are absolutely necessary to confirm that a gummy is safe to eat.
- 4 gummies had no lab report: Two gummies had a lab report which was only available with a batch number (i.e. after purchase) and two didn’t seem to have a lab report at all. This means consumers can’t be sure what they contain or whether they’re safe.
The remaining gummies were generally very good. R&R’s gummies were almost included but we judged them as broad spectrum despite being 98% CBD, and cbdMD’s gummies had a similar issue with a lower score. JustCBD’s Clear Bears, Tanasi’s gummies and Moonwlkr’s Stress Relief Gummies scored well but not quite enough for a recommendation.

Methodology
- Expert interviews: We set criteria specific to CBD gummies based on our expert interviews covering CBD for pain, sleep and anxiety. These factors helped us choose one specific gummy for each brand and to set the final ranking.
- Market research: We conducted an automated Bing search for “CBD isolate gummies.” We also included negative search terms to reduce the number of third-party lists in the results. This search took the first 250 results and relevant internal links, then scraped the text from everything.
- Market analysis: The result of the research was given to an LLM (ChatGPT) alongside the criteria derived from the expert interviews. The model was tasked with choosing up to two suitable products per brand. The output was carefully checked and verified by Oracle staff to choose a single option from each brand.
- Qualifying and scoring: We went through the basic checks described above. Afterwards, all qualifying products were scored on our Cannabinoid Product Quality Evaluation Framework. Any gummies scoring over 80% were eligible for the final list.
- Final ranking: The final order for the gummies was based on our expert criteria and the framework scores. We also discounted two borderline broad spectrum products at this stage.
