But our Cannabinoid Product Quality Evaluation Framework was created for just this reason. It’s an expert-backed, objective set of criteria that can help you find the best hemp products. Here’s what we found when we applied it to the broad spectrum CBD gummy market.
What Makes a Good Broad Spectrum CBD Gummy?
Good CBD dose
Whatever you’re using CBD for, you’ll need a higher dose than usual if you’re avoiding THC. THC boosts many of CBD’s effects, but it can still work well on its own if you take more. So we chose higher-dose options where possible, or gummies with different strength options.
Wide cannabinoid selection
Broad spectrum gummies should contain at least 4 cannabinoids, and CBG, CBN and CBC in particular are important ones to look out for. Generally speaking: the more cannabinoids, the better.
Cannabinoid-focused
Some gummies incorporate supplements or other ingredients to boost the effects, like melatonin or valerian root. We avoided these where possible, since it’s better to try one treatment at a time.
We considered broad spectrum CBD gummies from 50 brands in total, but only two scored high enough on our expert-backed criteria to earn our recommendation. Here they are.

Joy Organics uses USDA Certified Organic Hemp to consistently put out some of the best CBD products in the industry. Their manufacturing is GMP-certified and FDA-registered, and they make their extracts from the cannabinoid-rich flowers rather than the whole plant.
With this strong a starting point, it’s no surprise that their THC-Free CBD Gummies are the best ones we found. As well as having up to 25 mg of CBD per gummy, they also contain smaller amounts of CBG, CBDV and CBC, offering a true broad spectrum blend that’s well-suited to stress and pain relief in particular. And it’s not just the hemp – every ingredient in these is organic.
The price is a little high, but they’re worth it.

They also use solvent-free extraction, and conduct lab testing on each batch to confirm potency and purity.
Their broad spectrum CBD gummies have a solid 25 mg CBD dose, in addition to smaller amounts of CBG, CBN and CBDV. While they don’t contain beneficial terpenes – only menthol was detected in the lab – this gives them tons of potential for stress relief and pain relief in particular. They also work with medical experts to ensure their gummies are effective and safe.

Although Erth Wellness’ THC-Free Stress Gummies didn’t quite make the cut for a recommendation, we gave them an honorable mention for their great price and potency. Erth Wellness doesn’t have as high-quality hemp as the other entries in this list, but they do have a GMP-certified and FDA-registered manufacturing facility, and lab-test every batch of gummies.
Their THC-Free Stress gummies combine 50 mg of CBD with a little CBG and CBN, with trace amounts CBDV to top it off. The result is a potent and effective gummy when it comes to stress relief, made with nano-CBD to help it absorb quicker and more effectively. It’s also a great option if you’re on a budget, at just 3 cents per mg.

Other Broad Spectrum CBD Gummies We Considered
We started out with 50 brands’ broad spectrum CBD gummies, but most of these were discounted based on some basic checks we do for any hemp product we recommend. We’ll go through the specifics below, but in short: everything we recommend must be backed by a recent, full panel lab test, which confirms its advertised spectrum.
- Old lab report: 21 gummies were only backed by lab reports from over a year ago. The most likely reason for this is that the brands don’t test every batch. However, if it is the most recent batch, the cannabinoid content will have changed substantially after a year even if stored in optimal conditions.
- Not full panel safety tested: 10 products had a lab test, but it didn’t include all necessary safety tests. “Full panel” testing includes heavy metals, pesticides, solvents, microbial contamination and mycotoxins. Without this testing, the gummies may not be safe to eat.
- No publicly-available test: 10 products didn’t have a lab test available for their gummies at all. A few of these likely had been tested, but you can only access them with a batch number. This is only possible after purchase, and so these can’t be recommended.
- Not broad spectrum: 5 gummies didn’t contain four or more cannabinoids, which makes it unlikely that they are truly broad spectrum.
8 brands’ gummies made it through this process and went for full scoring. Gummies from Jolly, Sunny Skies, Bluebird Botanicals, Moonwlkr and Nama were fully scored but didn’t make the final list or get an honorable mention. However, the options from Jolly and Sunny Skies were particularly good.
Methodology: How We Picked the Best THC-free Gummies
- Expert Interviews: We used insights from our interviews on CBD gummies for anxiety and pain to set criteria for this list. These criteria helped us choose specific products from each brand and to decide on a final ranking.
- Market research: We searched online using an Oracle-coded algorithm to find broad spectrum gummies. The code searched Bing for “broad spectrum cbd gummies” (with additional terms to remove third-party lists) and extracted the URLs, any relevant internal URLs and the text from both.
- AI-assisted selection: Our search outputted a spreadsheet, which was then given to an LLM, alongside the key criteria from our expert interviews and an instruction to choose up to two matching products per brand. Oracle staff then manually reviewed the output, choosing the best product for each brand to consider for the list. We also added brands from our internal database where possible.
- Qualifying and scoring: We went through the process described above to produce a shortlist. These gummies were then scored on our Cannabinoid Product Quality Evaluation Framework. Any products scoring over 80% made the final list. With only two recommendations, we also added an honorable mention from the shortlist.
