I was intrigued when I heard that CBDfx was going to release a line of Delta-9 THC products. Tetrahydrocannabinol, as everyone knows, is the cannabinoid found most prominently in marijuana. While it’s best known for its intoxicating effects, Delta-9 THC is also being studied for its wellness benefits, as well as its usefulness as a relaxation product.** As you can see, it has a great deal of potential as a wellness product, particularly when working in concert with CBD (cannabidiol).

There is a legal limit on hemp-derived CBD products of less than 0.3% THC. Of all the forms of hemp oil, full spectrum CBD oil gives you the greatest amount of THC. This is because full spectrum oil contains all the cannabinoids of the hemp plant (plus terpenes and other beneficial plant matter). While full spectrum oil is indeed a robust oil, sometimes its THC content ends up falling well below the legal limit. And so, with CBDfx’s new line of Delta-9 THC products, they’ve added extra THC back into the oil to bring it much closer to the legal limit. That means maximum THC and CBD benefits for the user.

It’s important to note that while less than 0.3% THC shouldn’t be enough to prove intoxicating for users, there is still a potential for psychotropic effects, which might cause impaired concentration, coordination and judgment. I advise anyone using these products to adhere to the recommended serving size, and to avoid driving or operating heavy machinery when using these products.

What Is Full Spectrum CBD?

Full spectrum CBD oil is the oil that is initially extracted from the buds, leaves and stems of the hemp plant. Full spectrum CBD gives you all of the valuable compounds found in hemp, including all of the cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and some healthy fatty acids. Those cannabinoids include the two major cannabinoidsCBD (cannabidiol) and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), as well as over a hundred minor cannabinoids, including CBGCBN, and CBC. Hemp contains only trace amounts of THC (by law, less than 0.3%), which is not enough to be intoxicating.

What Is Delta-9 THC?

While there are different cannabinoids with THC in their names, delta-9 THC is the one we generally associate with the shortened name of THC. Tetrahydrocannabinol is one of the two major cannabinoids in cannabis and is the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. While it is the cannabinoid that can get you high, delta-9 THC also has a wide range of wellness benefits.

Benefits Of Full Spectrum CBD + Delta-9 THC

The benefit of full spectrum CBD is that it allows users to experience the Entourage Effect, which is a natural phenomenon that occurs when multiple cannabinoids and other cannabis compounds are consumed together. When this happens, the various compounds actually make each other work much harder than they would naturally work on their own in the body’s endocannabinoid system. So, for instance, the CBD in a full-spectrum CBD product will actually have a stronger effect than it would if you took it on its own (in, say, a CBD isolate product, which is 99% pure CBD).

The THC content in full spectrum CBD oil is, by law, less than 0.3% of the dry weight of the hemp. But in actuality, that content is usually much less than the legal limit. That’s why we’ve created our Delta-9 THC line of full spectrum products. In these innovative products, we’ve increased the amount of THC to be much closer to the legal limit for hemp-derived CBD products. That means more THC, and more Entourage Effect. Your CBD will work harder. The other cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids will work harder. And your THC will work harder for you!

1. Stress

People have used THC for centuries to relax and ease their stress. When THC activates receptors in the brain, it can bring a feeling of elation or mood elevation (there’s a reason that the feeling one gets from consuming massive amounts of THC is called “getting high”).** It should also be noted that when taken in large amounts, THC can trigger paranoia and anxiety in some people.

2. Sleep

We’ve mentioned the relaxation properties of THC, as it works with receptors in the brain. This can make THC a powerful supplement to promote better sleep, both in helping you to fall asleep more easily and to sleep more soundly through the night.**

3. General Wellness

Like CBD, THC engages the body’s endocannabinoid system and produces a wealth of calming wellness benefits.** The endocannabinoid system works with receptors in various organs and systems throughout the body, helping them to maintain homeostasis (balance).

Full Spectrum CBD + THC Effects

The effects you experience from our Full Spectrum CBD + THC line of products will largely depend on the product itself. In general, if a full spectrum product says that it is sativa based, that means it exhibits the effects of cannabis sativa. These effects are generally mood elevation, creativity, and blissful calmness.** Other products are generally formulated for rest and sleep.** When you see a product labeled as hybrid, it means that the product contains characteristics of both cannabis sativa and other strains. In general, these products give you the uplifting mood benefits of a sativa with added relaxation.

Why Choose CBDfx

When you’re looking for a quality CBD oil product, you want to begin by making sure your CBD oil was made with organic hemp. Hemp is a bioaccumulator, meaning it sucks up pretty much everything in the soil around it. This is great for absorbing nutrients, but not so great when the soil contains pesticides, heavy metals and other harmful chemicals.

And it’s just as important to verify how your CBD was extracted from the plant. Many less reputable brands use cheap solvents to extract the CBD, which can leave a chemical residue behind in the oil. The best brands use CO2 for CBD extraction. Carbon dioxide leaves behind no trace chemicals, giving you only pure, clean CBD oil as a result.

How can you tell if your CBD company has used all the safest and most effective techniques in bringing your CBD from the hemp fields to your door? Every reputable CBD company will provide a lab report from an independent, third-party laboratory called a Certificate of Analysis (COA), so that you can review for both the potency and the purity of your CBD product. If you’re considering a CBD brand that doesn’t provide a third-party lab report, leave that site immediately. Your safety is too important.

CBDfx products are made with organic CBD, extracted with clean CO2, and accompanied by a third-party lab report for every product.

Ingesting or inhaling products that contain hemp derived delta-9 THC could result in the consumer failing a drug test for THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol).

Frequently Asked Questions

For legal reasons, there are restrictions regarding which CBDfx products can be shipped to certain states. While some products and ingredients may be legal in your state, certain states have restricted products that can be shipped from California. To see if your state is restricted, click here.

Full spectrum CBD refers to CBD oil as it exists at the time of extraction, meaning that it contains all of the chemical compounds of the buds, leaves and stalks of the hemp plant.

Yes! Microdosing delta-9 THC is an excellent way to take advantage of the calming wellness benefits of THC and full spectrum CBD, but without overdoing it. As with all things in the world of delta-9 THC, start small: ¼ the recommended serving size of your THC product in the morning every day — your choice, tincture or gummy. If you want to add to that, take another ¼ serving in the evening. If you feel like that’s still not working, you can bump up the morning serving to ½ serving, and so forth. The key to microdosing THC is to find the serving size that works best for your individual needs!

Full spectrum CBD only contains trace amounts of THC, the cannabinoid that gets you high. Our delta-9 THC products contain additional THC content, though it is still less than the legal limit of 0.3%. That said, THC products may cause psychotropic effects, so we recommend that you adhere to the suggested dosage and avoid driving or operating heavy machinery when you take one of our full spectrum delta-9 products.

Simply said, delta-9 THC is one of a handful of cannabinoids with THC in the name. There are others, but when people generally just say “THC,” they are referring to tetrahydrocannabinol, or delta-9 THC.

Again, delta-9 is THC.

“Better” is a subjective word. Each of the three types of hemp oil have their advantages. Full spectrum CBD provides a complete blend of all cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids from the hemp plant. So, full spectrum CBD creates the most powerful Entourage Effect. With broad spectrum CBD, the trace amounts of THC have been removed from the oil. This filtration process also takes away a bit of the other chemical compounds. Still, there are plenty of cannabinoids and other compounds to produce a slightly lesser Entourage Effect. The advantage of broad spectrum is that you don’t have to worry about having THC in your system. CBD isolate has all other plant content removed, making it 99% pure CBD. While you don’t achieve an Entourage Effect with CBD isolate, you do have the advantage of removing all the hemp smell and flavor, making it a good choice for some vape and bath products.

While we use legally compliant CBD oils in all of our products, you can build up THC in your system over time if you regularly use full spectrum products. This can produce a false positive result on some drug tests. Learn more about full spectrum CBD and drug tests here.

Yes, all of our full spectrum products are legally compliant under the 2018 Farm Bill.

No. Delta-9 THC is one of the two major cannabinoids of the cannabis plant (along with CBD). Delta-8 and delta-10 are considered minor cannabinoids, and occur in cannabis in only the tiniest traces.
